Giving Thanks and Spreading Joy: CRCU's Thanksgiving Celebration
As the season of gratitude unfolds, CRCU is delighted to reflect on a heartwarming Thanksgiving initiative that brought joy and nourishment to families in our community. In collaboration with local schools, CRCU embarked on a mission to deliver complete Thanksgiving feasts to those in need, ensuring that the spirit of the holiday touched every corner of our membership area.
A Feast for Every Table
This year's initiative was no ordinary gesture; it was a commitment to making a meaningful impact. The Thanksgiving meals distributed by CRCU included not only a full-size frozen turkey but also all the fixings to create a memorable Thanksgiving Day feast. It was a way to share the warmth of the season and create lasting memories for families facing various challenges.
Partnering with Local Schools
To identify the families who would benefit most, CRCU collaborated with local schools in our area of membership. The selected schools played a crucial role in choosing deserving families, ensuring that the support reached those who needed it most. The distribution included:
- Lamar Elementary, Baytown: 25 meals
- Dogwood Elementary, New Caney ISD: 5 meals
- Jack Fields Elementary, Humble ISD: 10 meals
- Kimmie Brown Elementary, Dayton: 10 meals
- Barrett Elementary, Crosby ISD: 10 meals
A Heartfelt Thank You
CRCU extends heartfelt gratitude to the community partners who joined hands in this endeavor. Together, we made a difference in the lives of those around us. This initiative wouldn't have been possible without the support of our members, local schools, and everyone who shares in our commitment to community welfare.
