1. Membership & Services
1. What is required to become a member?
To become a member, you'll first need to meet CRCU's membership eligibility requirements. You can qualify by living, working, worshipping or attending school in an eligible area, or through an eligible employer or immediate family member. To open an account, you'll also need a valid government-issued ID, your Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number, and proof of residency if needed.
2. How much does it cost to become a member?
All that's required is a $10 opening deposit. $5 goes into your Regular Savings account and $5 goes into your CoRe Ownership Savings account. These funds stay in your accounts for as long as you're a member and are returned to you if you close your account.
3. Can I have a separate account?
Yes. You can open a separate membership to keep your funds separate.
4. Does CRCU offer shared branching?
Not at this time.
5. Does CRCU offer notary services?
Yes, at our branches. Please contact us for availability and any requirements.
2. Account Management
1. Where do I find my account number?
Log in to your account, select the account you need and open the Account Details tab.
2. What is an account suffix?
The account suffix is the Share ID number for a specific Checking, Savings or Loan account.
3. How do I update my address?
You can call us or visit any branch to update your address. You can also do it online: log in to your account at CRCU.org in your browser, open the Menu and select "Secured Forms" to submit an Address Change Request.
4. What do I need to add a beneficiary to my account?
We'll need the following information for your beneficiary:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number
- Phone number
- Physical address
Once you have this information, visit any branch or give us a call.
5. How do I add a joint owner to my account?
Both of you will need to be present and provide a valid government-issued ID. We can add a joint owner over the phone or at any branch.
6. How can a joint owner be removed from an account?
A joint owner can only be removed at their own request. This can be done over the phone or at any branch.
7. Where do I find a direct deposit form?
You can get your direct deposit information any of these ways:
- Download and print our Direct Deposit Form from the Forms & Documents page under Resources on our website, then give it to your employer.
- Visit any branch, and a representative can give you a Direct Deposit Letter.
- Call us, and a representative can provide a Direct Deposit Letter over the phone.
8. How do I get a voided check?
Visit any branch to request temporary checks. You can mark one "VOID" to use for direct deposit or account verification.
3. Debit Cards & Bill Pay
1. How do I get a new debit card?
Visit any branch to have a card printed the same day, or call our Call Center to have a replacement card mailed to you.
2. What are the limits on my debit card?
The daily Point of Sale (POS) limit is $2,000 and the daily ATM withdrawal limit is $1,000.
3. How do I file a debit card dispute?
Visit any branch or call our Call Center. A representative will help you through the dispute process.
4. How do I report fraudulent activity?
If you see fraud on your debit card or account, visit any branch or call our Call Center. Our team will help you with next steps.
5. Is there a fee for Bill Pay?
No. Bill Pay is free.
6. Why are some Bill Pay payments sent electronically and others by check?
It depends on how each biller accepts payments through Bill Pay. Some take electronic payments, and others are sent a check.
7. Why was a biller removed from my Bill Pay account after I made a payment?
This can happen when we receive an alert or notification about the payment. Visit any branch or call our Call Center, and a representative will review it and help with next steps.
8. What if a biller didn't receive my check payment?
If the biller hasn't received the check within 7 to 10 business days, visit any branch or call our Call Center. A representative can help you submit a Stop Payment request for the lost check.
4. Zelle®
1. Why don't I see the option to send money with Zelle?
Zelle isn't available on minor accounts or business accounts.
2. I just turned 18. Why can't I use Zelle yet?
Please contact us and we'll get Zelle turned on for your account.
3. Why can't I receive money with Zelle?
Make sure the sender is using the exact phone number or email address enrolled in your Zelle profile. You can see which one is enrolled in your Zelle settings in the Mobile App.
4. Why am I getting a "Duplicate" error message?
A phone number or email can only be enrolled in one Zelle profile at a time. If it's already enrolled at another financial institution, you'll need to remove it there first. If it's enrolled on another CRCU account, contact us and we can help.
5. Why am I getting an error that my first and last name are missing?
This can happen if your name goes over Zelle's character limit or includes a special character, such as a hyphen. Contact us and we'll review how your name is listed on your account.
6. Why is my name cut off in Zelle?
Zelle uses the primary account holder's name, and it has a character limit. If your full first and last name is long, part of it may be cut off.
7. I'm a joint owner. Can Zelle show my name instead of the primary's?
No. Zelle only shows the primary account holder's name.
8. Why wasn't my Zelle payment sent instantly?
Some payments are sent next day or in 3 business days because of extra verification or transaction limits. We can't change the delivery time.
9. Can CRCU change my Zelle phone number, email or recipients for me?
No. You can update your contact information and add, edit or delete recipients yourself in your Zelle settings when you log in to Online Banking.
10. Can CRCU increase or change my Zelle limits?
No. Zelle limits are fixed and can't be changed.
5. Wire Transfers & Loans
1. How long does it take for a wire transfer to reach the receiver?
If the information is accurate and we receive your request before our 3:00 p.m. processing deadline, the funds will arrive the same day.
2. What do I need to send a domestic wire transfer?
- Beneficiary's full name
- Beneficiary's address
- Beneficiary's bank account number
- Receiving bank's routing number
- Receiving bank's address
3. What do I need to send an international wire transfer?
- Beneficiary's full name
- Beneficiary's address
- Beneficiary's bank account number
- Receiving bank's routing number
- Receiving bank's BIC/SWIFT code
- Receiving bank's address
- US correspondent bank name
- US correspondent bank routing number
- US correspondent bank country code
4. What do I give the sender to receive a domestic wire transfer?
- Your full ACH account number
- CRCU's routing number
5. What do I give the sender to receive an international wire transfer?
- Your full ACH account number
- CRCU's routing number
6. Does CRCU have a SWIFT/BIC code?
No. CRCU does not use a SWIFT/BIC code. Incoming international wires only need your full ACH account number and our routing number.
7. How do I make a loan payment?
You have two options:
- Internal transfer: Move funds from your CRCU account through Online Banking or the Mobile App, as long as you have enough funds available.
- External payment: Pay through the Swivel Pay payment portal on our website using a debit card or another bank's account and routing number.
8. Does CRCU offer Skip Payments on loans?
Yes, on eligible loans. Eligibility depends on the loan type and status.
