Recovery Resource Center

Our hearts go out to those affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey.  In an effort to help members to start the recovery process, CRCU has assembled some valuable financial tools that will hopefully assist on your road to recovery.
 
  • CRCU loan payments will be skipped. All consumer loan due dates (with the exception of mortgage and commercial loans) will be advanced 30 days. If you wish to not skip your loan payments, please contact the Credit Union.
     
  • Credit card payments will be waived in September. Because you are a valued member and cardholder, you may skip your credit card payment during this challenging time. Interest charges will continue to accrue. Members who have automatic payments currently established will need to contact the credit union for reversal.
     
  • Deposit and loan fees have been suspended until Sunday, 9/10/17 at 12:01 a.m. All fees associated with courtesy pay, non-sufficient funds, loan late fees, and overdraft transfer fees, stop payment fees on checks and ACHs have all been suspended from Sunday, August 27th until Sunday, 9/10/17, at 12:01 a.m.
     
  • ATM fees waived or refunded through Sunday, 9/10/17, at 12:01 a.m.  All CRCU ATM fees incurred Sunday, August 27th until Sunday, 9/10/17, at 12:01 a.m. will be refunded to your CRCU account.  Foreign surcharge ATM fees not included.
     
  • Mortgage loan late fees will be waived for all CRCU real estate secured loans until further notice.
     
  • If your home is in a FEMA declared disaster area, your mortgage loan will be eligible for payment relief of up to six months. The mortgage loan must be less than 90 days delinquent. Please contact your mortgage servicer: Member Home Loan (MHL), or Colonial, or the CRCU mortgage department. Please notify CRCU mortgage department if you have a financial hardship due to temporary or permanent employment loss due to the disaster. We want to help our members qualify for payment deferments on real estate secured loans of up to six months.
     
  • If you are not within a FEMA declared disaster affected area, please contact the CRCU Mortgage department for options regarding your mortgage loan. You will need proof of damage to be eligible for a loan modification. Go to www.disasterassistance.gov to determine if you are within a FEMA declared disaster affected area.
     
  • CRCU will not charge fees for modification or forbearance services for real estate secured loans. Neither will we send negative information to the credit bureau during the modification or forbearance time period.

  • Members who have an existing direct deposit account, (no minimum amount) earn a 2.00% discount on all eligible Consumer Loans

The last several days have been filled with anxiety, concern, fear, and uncertainty for many people within our region. But at the peak of this tremendous storm of uncertainty arose the certainty of neighbor comforting neighbor, friend supporting friend, and the universal affirmation of people helping people.

As we come together as one cohesive community in this difficult time, the CRCU team has assembled some financial tools that will assist you, the valued CRCU member, to begin the recovery process.

Throughout this severe storm of uncertainty — online banking, mobile banking, shared branch banking, network ATMs, touch tone teller, debit cards, credit cards, and bill pay ALL remained accessible to CRCU members during the hurricane/tropical storm.

However at this time, the Highway 146 Branch experienced flood damage and is temporarily closed until further notice. All other branches, including the Call Center, are operating at — or near normal conditions.

After the Storm, Important Information for Real Estate Loans

With the recent Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey continuing to take its toll on our region, CRCU realizes and understands the importance of teamwork and cooperation during this difficult time.

For those members with real estate secured loans, CRCU would like to take a moment and note the following financial tools available to you.

 

  • Residential mortgage loan late fees WILL BE WAIVED for ALL real estate secured loans until further notice. 
     
  • If your home is in a FEMA declared disaster area, your mortgage loan will be eligible for PAYMENT RELIEF of up to SIX MONTHS. The mortgage loan must be less than 90 days delinquent. Please contact your mortgage servicer: Member Home Loan (MHL), Colonial, or the CRCU mortgage department.
     
  • If your mortgage loan is currently over 90 days delinquent, please contact your loan servicer (MHL, Colonial, or CRCU’s mortgage department) for direction.
     
  • Please notify the CRCU mortgage department if you have a financial hardship due to temporary or permanent employment loss due to the disaster. We want to help our members qualify for payment deferments on real estate secured loans for up to six months.
     
  • CRCU WILL NOT charge fees for modification or forbearance services for real estate secured loans related to the recent storm. Neither will we send negative information to the credit bureau during the modification or forbearance time period.
     
  • If you are not within a FEMA declared disaster affected area, please contact the CRCU Mortgage department for options regarding your mortgage loan. You will need proof of damage to be eligible for a loan modification. Go to www.disasterassistance.gov to determine if you are within a FEMA declared disaster affected area.
